The ֱ Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has implemented astatewide digital fingerprinting process known as CABS (ֱ Applicant Background Services) in response to Senate Bill 17-189. The CBI recently awarded contracts toand.

This allowsthese vendors to print and submit non-criminal applicant fingerprints for the State of ֱ.Thevendor services are located throughout the state, increasing applicants’ ability to obtain fingerprints in a timely manner. These vendors electronically transmit the civil fingerprints to the CBI for processing.CBI will no longer accept fingerprints from ֱPD.

This includes any type of civil fingerprints for background checks for ֱ’s 64 professions requiring licensing.Examples are: teachers, child care, ֱ bar, real estate, massage therapy, and EMS to name a few.

Need prints for out of state employment or printed cards to be sent to the FBI?

If youneed to submit a physical fingerprint card to an out-of-state agency or to the FBI, ֱPD will continue to fingerprint you.

Fingerprinting is conducted in our Records department, on the second floor of our building at 1050 Regent Drive.
