I have truly relished the opportunity to work and write for the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Art Museum Collection Committee last year. Through this work, I have learned the intricacies of acquisitioning, deaccessioning, preservingÌýand cataloging works of art in a professional museum environment. It has been a dream come true to stare through a magnifying glass like a detective, studying and writing about the diverse works of art in the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Art Museum. The experience has enriched my understanding of the historic and economic role of art, and versed me well in the skills necessary to be a custodian, criticÌýand curator of fine art.

I've been working at the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Art Museum for almost a year, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity. It’s been like a second home, where I have met some of the most creative and beautiful people I could imagine. Coming from India and living more than 8,000 miles away from friends and family is not easy, but the people here have welcomed me as one of their own. It feels like one big family!
